Founded in 1872, today we are one of the world's leading independent specialists for glass melting and conditioning technology.

The Company provides design and engineering of all types of glass melting furnaces, distributors and forehearths, and supplies a wide range of specialised equipment for these parts of the glass manufacturing process. Installation, commissioning, training, maintenance and repair services are also available for all SORG installations.

We are actively engaged in all major sectors of the glass industry, including containers, flacons, flat glass, tableware, lighting ware and fibres. Our customers currently produce glass in more than 65 countries worldwide.

The head office is at Lohr am Main, a small town in the valley of the river Main, about 90 km east of Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

CERTIFICATION

Nikolaus SORG has been certified to ISO 9001 since 1996. Recertification to the more demanding standards of ISO 9001:2000 was completed successfully in 2002,2005 and again in 2008.
