Ministerial visit to SORG offices
Bavarian Europe Minister Eberhard Sinner was the main guest at the recent official opening of the new SORG technical offices.
The event began with a guided tour of the Company offices for the 50 invited guests, during which various aspects of the Company’s work was demonstrated.
Following this the guests were joined by the Company employees in a specially decorated marquee for a discussion forum featuring Minister Sinner, local politician Klaus Bitterman, and Alexander Sorg, Reinhold Wenig and Andreas Schneck of SORG. The discussion was chaired by the well-known television journalist Martin Lohmann.
Medium-sized companies such as SORG are often affected by political decisions without having access to a political lobby to influence such decisions. The Company representatives were pleased to have the opportunity to question the politicians on a number of points that are relevant to SORG as a company. The result was an interesting and entertaining 45 minutes.
First class live music, including a university professor on saxophone, together with appropriate food and drink provided a fitting conclusion to the event.
