SORG and Praxair join on oxy-fuel technology
SORG and Praxair have signed an agreement covering joint marketing of oxy-fuel technology in the US and Canadian markets.

The combination of Praxair's combustion technologies and on-site industrial gas supply capabilities and Sorg’s experience and reputation as a state-of-the art leader in glass melting will help the glass industry to move ahead with the introduction of technologies that improve efficiencies and reduce environmental impact.

Referring to the SORG Oxy-LoNOx furnace design as the furnace of the future may be a little premature, but there is no doubt that it has a great potential, offering, as it does, the combination of low NOx emissions and low specific energy consumption (which also equates to low CO2 emissions).
